Zambia's reference
point for biochar.

Since 2018, we have led the way in turning agricultural waste into permanent, high-performance soil infrastructure — building value into the ground, one application at a time.

Building permanent value
into the ground.

In 2018, Green Cycle Limited introduced the first commercially available Pyro-Gardeners Biochar to the Zambian market. Since that milestone, we have led the way in turning agricultural waste — maize cobs that would otherwise be burned in fields, wood sanding waste, and poultry litter — into permanent, high-performance soil infrastructure.

More recently, we have pioneered projects focused on tree nursery resilience, demonstrating improved sapling survival and water holding capacity through biochar-amended growing media. We are also conducting preliminary field trials on Pyro Black Urea™, our mechanically fused urea-biochar pellet designed to reduce nitrogen losses and leave recalcitrant carbon in the soil season after season — unlike conventional fertilisers that are fully spent after a single crop.

From post-mining remediation to agribusiness, Green Cycle Limited remains Zambia's reference point for biochar. We do not just sell a product. We build permanent value into the ground.

Carbon below,
life above.
Agricultural Waste

Agricultural Waste → Infrastructure

Maize cobs, wood sanding waste, and poultry litter are transformed through pyrolysis into permanent carbon matrices that build soil for centuries.

Tree Nursery Resilience

Tree Nursery Resilience

Our biochar-amended growing media has demonstrated significantly improved sapling survival rates and water holding capacity in nursery trials across Zambia.

Pyro Black Urea

Pyro Black Urea™ — Field Trials

Our mechanically fused urea-biochar pellet is currently in preliminary field trials — designed to reduce nitrogen losses while leaving recalcitrant carbon behind every season.

Post-Mining Remediation

Post-Mining Remediation

From Kabwe's lead-polluted soils to rehabilitated tailings dams, our biochar provides proven heavy metal immobilisation backed by 14 years of independent field evidence.

Our values

Science First

Science First

Every product and project is grounded in peer-reviewed research and independent field data — not marketing claims.

Permanence

Permanence

We build infrastructure that lasts centuries, not solutions that expire with the season.

Local Impact

Local Impact

Our inputs, our trials, and our impact are rooted in Zambia — turning local waste into national value.

Innovation
